5 June - 15 July 2021

Personas are created in literature and the arts, entailing the interests and characteristics that set a person apart from others. The exhibition will show a varied range of figurative artworks dealing with the notion of persona, understood as a combination of aspects perceived by others as making up a person’s character. It has to do with the way a person presents himself or herself to the world. This could also include a public persona or so-called role-playing, acting out a persona. Portrait painting is very much concerned with persona rendering and a persona could be affected or false.
